Notes About the Application

An application for HOME is required. Applicants should also upload their high school transcript on the application page in order for their application to be considered complete.

Each year, we aim to bring to campus a diverse group of students from different backgrounds and experiences. Due to limited space, this is a selective program and we cannot admit all of the qualified applicants who wish to attend. Participation in HOME is not an indication of any admissions decision and your application to Johns Hopkins will not be negatively impacted if you are unable to attend HOME. Don’t hesitate to contact us at if you have any questions.

Please do not make travel arrangements for the program until you have been contacted about your application status.

Students attending the HOME program are invited to stay overnight in a residence hall room with a current Johns Hopkins student host for the duration of the program. If you have any special requirements, please let us know on your registration form. If parents would like to visit campus or Baltimore and are staying overnight while students are attending HOME, they must arrange their own hotel accommodations.

Travel Information

Travel scholarships and logistical support are available for qualified students. More information on how to request monetary travel assistance for HOME will be provided to students who are accepted into the program.

Information for Parents

The HOME program is specifically geared toward prospective students in their senior year of high school.

If parents would like to visit campus or Baltimore and are staying overnight while students are attending HOME, they must arrange their own accommodations.
