Thurgood Marshall College Fund: Multiple Scholarships

TMCF awards nearly 500 scholarships a year to high-achieving students. Below is a list of all scholarships that TMCF offers as of December 2018.

Center for Advancing Opportunity Undergraduate Scholarship
Application Deadline: February
Scholarship recipients may receive up to $7,500 per year and is only applicable to tuition and fees.
CAO is looking for students passionate about eliminating inequality and pursuing careers that can contribute to achieving this goal. The CAO Undergraduate Research Scholarship is a merit-based program for undergraduates obtaining degrees in fields of study related to the CAO mission. Read More > 

  • Center for Advancing Opportunity Doctoral Fellowship
    Application Deadline: February
    The value of the fellowship is up to $40,000 a year, applicable to tuition, fees, or other expenses.
    The Center for Advancing Opportunity (CAO), established through a partnership with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), Charles Koch Foundation and Koch Industries is driving the discovery of evidence-based solutions to remove barriers to opportunity. Read More > 

  • TMCF | Lowe’s Scholarship
    Application Deadline: May
    One-time award ranging from $500 to $7,500 (depending on account balance)
    The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), in partnership with Lowe’s, is pleased to provide financial assistance scholarships to undergraduate students at TMCF member-schools who are in their final semester of their degree program and scheduled to graduate in the Spring or Summer 2018 semester. Read More > 

  • Boeing | TMCF HBCU Investment
    Application Deadline: September
    Receive a need-based scholarship of up to $30,000 total over the term of the Boeing | TMCF Scholar Program.
    The Boeing | TMCF HBCU Investment provides an unparalleled career opportunity and scholarship for outstanding students attending Boeing HBCU priority schools. High performing students currently in their sophomore year, with a minimum GPA of 3.3 are encouraged to apply. Read More > 

  • TMCF-Walmart Foundation First Generation Scholars Mentorship Program
    Stipend: $250 per semester, training will be provided
    The TMCF-Walmart Foundation First-Generation Scholars Mentorship Program assists first generation freshmen awarded through the Walmart Foundation First Generation Scholarship Program, with qualified student mentors.Read More > 

  • TMCF | David J. Stern Sports Scholarship Program
    3-year renewable scholarship at $10,000 per year (for a total not to exceed $30,000). 
    The Thurgood Marshall College Fund, in partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), is proud to administer the David J. Stern Scholarship Program, which will provide a talented and enthusiastic student the opportunity to enhance his or her studies at any college or university of his or her choice, including any one of the nation’s 4-year Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Read More > 

  • TMCF | Ford Blue Oval Scholarship
    Selected scholars will receive a one-year scholarship of $6,200 for the academic school year
    TMCF and Ford Motor Company Fund are proud to offer financial assistance to graduating high school seniors who plan to attend one of the 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) within the TMCF member-school network.     One-year scholarship of $6,200
    The Thurgood Marshall College Fund is pleased to partner with the National Hockey League to offer this scholarship. This is a scholarship for student participants in the Hockey is for Everyone program in the United States and Canada. Read More >

    One year scholarship of $10,000

  • TMCF | Walmart Foundation First-Generation Scholarship  
    The scholarship program provides merit- and need-based scholarships at $6,200 ($3100/semester).
    The TMCF | Walmart Foundation First-Generation Scholarship Program will provide scholarships for first-year students who are the first in their families to attend college and will attend TMCF member-schools for the academic year. Read More >

    One-year scholarship of up to $6,700 for the 2018-2019 academic school year. 
    TMCF and MillerCoors are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of the 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) within the TMCF member-school network.     The TMCF | McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Scholarship is awarded for involvement in music performance and/or education to outstanding undergraduate or graduate students attending one of the 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) within the TMCF member-school network.     The TMCF | McDonald’s HBCU Forward Scholarship is awarded to female students who exhibit strong community service & leadership and attend one of the 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) within the TMCF member-school network.   • TMCF | Department of Defense (DoD) Scholarship
    Department of Defense (DoD) 4-year renewable scholarship offered to qualified high school graduating seniors.
    The Department of Defense (DoD) Scholarship is offered to qualified high school graduating seniors. Applicants must demonstrate significant motivation and aptitude for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and MUST choose to study in one of these fields to apply. (DoD), 4-year renewable scholarship, capped at $15,000 per year (for a total not to exceed $60,000). Read More > 

  • Apple HBCU Scholars Program
    Application Deadline: October
    This comprehensive program offers a summer internship at Apple, an ambassador role on campus, mentorship, and a scholarship for your senior year of attendance.
    The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) in partnership with Apple is proud to present the Apple HBCU Scholars Program to outstanding students with a minimum 3.0 GPA.   • TMCF | USDA-NRCS Scholarship Program
    Selected Scholars will receive up to $15,000 in scholarship funding based on individual financial needs that will be applied to their junior and senior years of study.

    The Walmart Foundation First-Generation Scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA who will be first-generation incoming freshmen at one of the 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).     The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Strada Education Network are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of the 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) within the TMCF member-school network.     Selected scholars will receive a one-year scholarship up to $7,000 for the academic school year.
    The Exelon Foundation Scholarship is open to students with a minimum 3.0 GPA students attending Howard University, North Carolina A&T State University and Lincoln University at Pennsylvania.
